The ultimate expression of our Koroneiki variety. An exceptional extra virgin olive oil of high nutritional value and authentic Mediterranean character. Produced from early harvest olives in mid-October and cold-extracted immediately after picking, it retains all its precious natural compounds unaltered. With an exceptionally high polyphenol concentration of 1,551 mg/kg, it far exceeds the minimum threshold of 250 mg/kg, making it a particularly rich source of natural antioxidants. It contains impressive levels of oleocanthal (484 mg/kg) and oleacein (189 mg/kg)—significantly above the international average (135 and 105 mg/kg respectively). These valuable compounds are known for their strong biological activity and have been associated with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective, and neuroprotectiveproperties. Our polyphenol-rich olive oil fully meets the EU-approved health claim (Health Claim EU 432/2012) for polyphenolic olive oils and the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress, containing 31.02 mg of hydroxytyrosol and tyrosol derivatives per 20 g of olive oil (the claim applies only to olive oils containing at least 5 mg per 20 g). A daily intake of 20 g of this olive oil contributes to its beneficial effects. Its organoleptic profile is distinguished by a rich, fruity aroma with notes of wild herbs and citrus.
