Gretsch® Kick Drum (70s)A 22” x 16” Octagon badged Gretsch® kick drum from the mid 1970’s with a lacquered black finish. A full midrange and open sound, great for big and open Rock drums.We recorded this superb kick drum with a Remo WeatherKing resonant head and an Aquarian SuperKick Batter side head, which was struck by a medium density felt beater.Gretsch® Snare Drum (70s)This is an original mid 1970’s stop sign badge 5.5” x 14” Gretsch® maple/mahogany snare.We captured this drum with basic stick hits at 5 velocities including rim shots, as well as side stick. Dampening was also used to reduce ring in the drum.Gretsch® Toms (70s)This 14” Rack tom had coated heads tuned to a medium resonance.This 16” Floor tom had coated heads tuned to a medium low resonance.Gretsch® is a registered trademark of Fred W.
